A cross-cutting theme to work in the Chair is the broader politics of science communication.

Considering the power dynamics of science, and historical links between colonialism and science, we are working to develop decolonial theoretical frameworks for both theory and practice in the field of science communication.

We aim to collectively produce new frameworks for critical research in science communication in complex mediated and intersectional societies shaped by legacies of colonialism and inequality.

All researchers in the Chair are contributing to this ongoing intellectual project.
